Hi guys. Lad I'm working with has a 2007 kx 250 f.
He blew his engine in the snow last week. Going along the road on his way home. Engine all of a sudden got noisey, and then locked up before he managed to stop. Everything had been fine with it up until then.

He hasn't had a chance to open it up yet for a look. Anyone have any ideas what might have gone wrong in it? Is there any common problems with kx 250 f. It's just so he can maybe order up some parts before he gets off the ship and get him up and running again quickly. Obviously it could be anything in the engine an box, but just incase anyone knows of any weak points in them. Think I remember maonster having problems with his one.

Oh ye, don't suppose anyone has a electronic manual for this bike? A copy of a manual would be good to.

Cheers the now.

Got to http://www.humyo.com and log on with admin@westernislesmx.co.uk as email address and use wimx as a password and it will take you to a pdf format service manual for kxf250. its for a 2004 but they are mainly the same set up for timing torques etc.

My cams siezed in the journals, and i replaced piston, deglazed bore, and got Dordon Diesel to profile the cams and cam journals. New timing chain guides and tensioner, oil pump and all was sound. They are known for main bearing failure also, parts are mega bucks if you use kawasaki brand but well worth the cost. Corby Kawasaki are on the ball with all parts in stock and delivery was always next day if you call in morning. (http://www.corbykawasaki.co.uk/index.html)

Have fun, Monster

Cheers Monster.
I'll get a copy of that manual for him and let him know the rest.
I would imagine that its more likely to be the mains, seen as it got noisey just before it packed in.
